Good Morning! My name is Blake Shelton, and I am emailing from Horace Mann in St.Paul. I am a sixth grader at Horace Mann. This fall, our whole school has been studying the election and voting process as well as the history of voting rights. As a part of our learning, we will be holding a 'Get Out The Vote' Rally at our school this November. The rally is Monday November 5, 2012 and we are inviting parents, community members and local candidates from all parties to visit our school.
I would like to invite you to attend our rally this November. If you are able to attend, we would love for you to make a a few brief remarks, no more than 3 minutes, to the students of Horace Mann about the importance of voting and participating in government. The students in attendance will range from grades Kindergarten-6th grade.
